Eagle Colorado
September 21, 2008
Eagle Colorado used to be a small ranching community about 30 miles west of Vail Colorado. Lately the town has basically grown into a suburb of Vail. The Vail Real Estate Market has reached a point where it convinced long time locals to sell their property and buy cheaper homes down valley in Eagle. The Real Estate in Eagle has also intrigued people to move as it offers great views, more land, great comunities, and cheaper housing. The population has grown so fast that everyday durring typical ruch hour hours, the exit to get off the freeway is backed up a quarter of a mile. The town is soon putting in one, maybe two new exits to help alleviate this traffic.
This town that was once consided a ranching community now offers great golf and recreational facilities for kids as well. A new ice rink has just gone in with an outdoor water park for kids. It is just a matter of time before you can classify Eagle as a city and not just a town. Not bad depending on how you view development. Some residents miss the old Eagle that was much smaller and less Suburbanesque, but Eagle residents for the most part have benefited with new infastructure, school improvements, better real estate markets, recreational facilities, and way of life. In the mean time Vail has lost a part of its comunity feel becuase everyone is now in Eagle and the percentage of second homes in vail has increased quite a bit.
