The length of rod has nothing to do with your height, and everything to do with the type of fishing you want, plan, or like to do. It is a great activity – I don’t know if I have ever had a bad day fishing. Enjoy it!
Depends on the type of fishing. Accurate fishing requires a longer rod. River fishing needs a heavier action rod. But ultimatley whatever feels best… I would go with a 6 foot medium action rod for overall use.
iam only 6″ taller and i use a 16 metre pole all the time so size means nowt.
