Who hasn’t played the snake game? It seems to be all present, on our cell phones and computers; users can now play snake game everywhere when away from home: on the bus or tram, in a waiting room when at the dentist, at the airport before boarding and so on. The rules of the snake game are far from complex, up, down, left and right, these are the only moves the game allows. While getting around the screen, guide the snake so as to catch or eat the small squares or apples that appear flashing, but make sure not to run the snake in a wall or make it eat its own tail. In more advanced versions of the snake game, you have to move the snake to eat colored apples.

Snake game was released in the 70s and it has not lost its popularity since then, turning into a classic as years passed. On computers, the snake game started with the Blockade designed by Gremlin in the mid 70s, but the microcomputer version of the game, known as Worm appeared only in 1978. In time all sorts of variations, upgrades and modifications were operated on the snake game, but it is still preserved in its initial form on Nokia mobiles; more advanced telephone designs even include the a three dimensional game option.

In the case of the first monochrome phones, the four movement directions in the snake game depended only on black squares. As Nokia technology got to a superior level so did the quality of the standard games incorporated in the menu of a cellular: thus with Nokia 3310, it was time for the bug bonus feature to enter the snake game. Later on, multi-player options with bluetooth and infra-red technologies were also adapted for the use of the snake game without serious modifications of content. The rules of the game are very easy to learn regardless of the form in which you play it, plus you will find it stimulating and skill building.

As for the impact on health, playing the snake game is not more harmful than other games in its category. Spending too much time staring at the screen could give headaches, dizziness and other forms of eye troubles, as well as cramping in the neck muscles. There are warnings about the radiation risk when playing snake game on the cell phone, but many users find such claims ridiculous.
