What is the best way to power a playstation 2 in a car?

I have the original playstation 2, not the slimline version. I have a portable dvd player, I just need to know what to use to convert my cig lighter outlet to the ps2. I have seen some that plug directly in to the ps2 slimline but nothing on the original ps2.

Best thing to do is get a power inverter. It plugs into the 12 volt outlet and converts it up to 120 volts ac. then use your normal plug. The original PS uses a built in transformer, so you have to give it 120vac for it to be happy and work. you can get a 400 watt inverter for around 50 to 75 bucks. plus you can also use other things with the inverter, like a lamp, laptop, printer, ect. just dont plug too many things into it, or it will fry.
